Regular price $175.00
Here’s a little something we’ve been working on. A bunch of our mates from the venues you love have curated their mixes. We thought we would share them with you! Introducing ‘The Friend Zone’
Say G'day to Mitch Pickford. He’s the man responsible for the insanely good beers at @rangebrewing. When he’s not brewing beers, playing cricket, or watching the St Jose Sharks... he’s drinking wine! Heres a couple words from the man of the hour …..
"I have a deep love for Italian wine and the influence it's had on modern Australian wine making. Watervale, Tranquil and Pocco Rosso have my heart and they're perfect for knocking back in the sunshine of this beautiful state of ours."
MITCH'S PACK // TWO OF EACH
2019 Koerner 'Watervale' Riesling
2018 Bellwether Riesling
Bellwether is the creation of Sue Bell - a woman regarded as one of the country's most talented (and hard-working) winemakers. Cold climate Riesling, tightly focused & pure. Fermented on lees in old puncheons for a slippery texture with flinty sulphides to tame the bracing acidity.
2018 MOC Chardonnay
2018 Unico Zelo 'Riversand' Fiano
From the remarkable organic Bassham Vineyards in Barmera, the heat of the Riverland brings the fun to this wine, with a lot of pineapple and ripe tropical fruit, but theres a salinity to it to bring outrageous refreshment.
2019 Latta 'Tranquil' Rose
This wine is made from Nebbiolo and Sangiovese fruit which is picked specifically for making Rosé. Gee this is good to drink. It's almost plump at the beginning but cinches up tight through the close. The tannins pulling like drawstrings on the fruit. It's a ripper. Get on this ASAP!
2016 Thick as Thieves 'Pocco Rosso' Nebbiolo
Syd Bradford is living proof that small can be beautiful, and, equally, that an old dog can learn new tricks. A delicate start followed by a dense and chewy mid palate. All this combines with pronounced natural acidity to give great line, body and texture. Good stuff from Syd here..
